A decade ago I started ESS with a conviction I have never had reason to revise. Technology companies are not built on code. They are built on loyalty and integrity, on telling a client what they need to hear rather than what closes the deal, and on standing behind the work long after the invoice has cleared.

My own route here ran through boardrooms in the United States and Europe, and through an Ivy League education. The most useful thing that exposure gave me was not technical. It was judgement, and a benchmark: the work we deliver should be indistinguishable in calibre from work delivered anywhere in the world. That benchmark has governed every hire we have made since.

It is also what our name actually means. The success in question is never ours. It is the client whose payroll finally runs clean, the institution whose citizens get a service that works, the founder whose platform held on launch day.

Ten years. Three continents. A team I would put in any room, anywhere. The conviction has not moved.
