Online Revenue Collection of Stamp Duty

The stamp papers traditionally have been used to pay the revenue on documentation that requires stamping; such as leases, agreements, receipts, court documents and many more. There are two types of stamps: Judicial and Non-Judicial. Judicial stamps are used in courts and Non-Judicial stamps are used for transfer of property, commercial agreements, etc. Automation of Stamp Papers (e-Stamping), a web based system for collection of stamp duty and issuance of stamp papers, has been introduced in Punjab in 2016.
